A Good Drop
Acoustic/Easy Listening/Blues Duo
Marilyn McDonald and Frank Frikker make up the covers and originals duo "A Good Drop". Both have come out of retirement to play 'for the fun of it'....
Marilyn's grounding lies in folk and blues. In the 70's she headed the vocals and occasionally keyboards and acoustic guitar in Kiwi band Rainbow - beating the uni circuit with Dragon. In OZ she headed vocals and songwriting with local band Starwind ( a composite of Jonno's Blues band and the Zammitt family band). Prior to raising a family she performed solo and was one of 2 resident singer songwriters performing at Magnum's Wine Bar in Cairns (the other being the dynamic and gifted muso Ray Elias).
In the 80's, German born Frank Frikker was well established in Europe with the internationally flavoured band Seoul Brothers. Prior to that he played a mixture of folk and contemporary music before writing songs for Seoul Brothers to perform and record.
Both artists continue to write and perform original songs with A Good Drop. A Good Drop performs songs in English, French, German and Spanish
