After being revealed as fan favourite, The Queen, on hit TV series ‘The Masked Singer’, Brisbane singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke has just released her first pop album in six years and possibly her most pop album yet, Child In Reverse. Now, Kate is packing up her particular variety of pizazz and bringing it to Munro Martin Parklands, for one special show, under the stars.
An icon of Australian music, Kate’s heartfelt performances and out-of-this world stage presence has seen her light up some of the most prestigious arenas, festivals and theatres all over the world at Coachella, the New York Metropolitan Opera and the Eurovision Song Contest.
Child In Reverse is a return to pop for this stellar performer; “I keep getting drawn back to pop music,” Kate says, “The minimalism, the economy… I find that incredibly rewarding and challenging. It’s like a quest to nail the perfect pop song. When it can be done, for me, as a listener, it’s my favourite music.”
