2012 will be a special year for Peter Rabbit, who will celebrate 110 years in print. Public awareness will be heightened throughout the year by press articles, advertsing campaigns and a national tour of the stage production.
Happy Birthday Peter Rabbit is a "mischievous musical" based on the works of world famous children's author and illustrator Beatrix Potter. Adapted for the stage in 1993, by Garry Ginivan with an original score by Mark Jones, the production incorporates the tale of Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny and Mr Tod, into a stylish and classic stage production starring the worlds most famous bunny. With full sets and stylish costumes the production follows the exploits of Peter Rabbit, Mr McGregor, Tommy brock and Mr Tod in a production designed to delight and entertain children and adults alike.

The production features Beatrix Potter as the Narrator, Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, a "9 foot tall" Mr McGregor, Old Mr Bunny, Tommy Brock and Mr Tod. When first produced in 1993, the production was the first of it's kind in the world and the very first production to ever bring Peter Rabbit to the stage in a musical. It has since that time toured extensively, mostly throughout Victoria. The production is 55 minutes in duration with NO interval.
