James Braithwaite - Bio



Originally from Manchester, UK and coming to Australia in search of inspiration and life experience, the sweetly spoken Lad is the First to admit music is a therapy and an addiction.
After three years within the local Cairns Music Scene, seeing his craft develop in leaps and bounds toward numerous local residencies and a growing fan base, James' music is heavily influenced by the Manchester music Scene. With Bands like The Smiths, and The Stone Roses, and now Aus radio artists from triple J, his genre currently sits in a hybrid of Acoustic Folk/roots with a popular twist.
With a voice like velvet gravel, and a warm and open acoustic guitar sound, its not hard to grasp why people make an effort to listen to the strapping chaps words of wisdom. A starry future ahead, with plans for a release to keep admirers happy, James Braithwaite is a Far North Treasure.
