Jane Linstead is a very successful & professional flautist, based in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland.

Jane is a popular performer for national & international corporate groups, weddings, concerts & other special functions.

Jane studied the flute at the Canberra School of Music with David Cubbin and Vernon Hill and graduated with a Bachelor of Music. Jane has traveled to the UK and USA attending & performing at numerous flute masterclasses with renowned flute players including Louis Moyse, Peter Lloyd, Alain Marion, Trevor Wye and William Bennett.

Jane's successful career has also included many invitations to perform in symphony orchestras and pit orchestras along with command performances for prestigious music evenings and performances recorded for national radio broadcast.
Since moving to Cairns in 2000 Jane has been in high demand to perform for corporate groups; weddings & other functions in Cairns, Port Douglas & the surrounding Tropical North region.

Jane is also the leader of Orchid Classical Ensemble. Orchid is available as a Flute & Violin Duo; Flute, Violin & Cello Trio & Flute & Strings Quartet. The beautiful sound of strings and flute creates a lovely elegant ambience that will make your event even more wonderful.

Jane Linstead & Orchid Ensemble have performed for events in all types of locations on the beach, tropical islands, in the rainforest. They have performed at most venues, large & small, in Cairns & the Port Douglas Region.
