The first of four concerts in the Tanks World Music Series 2012


Tanks World Music Series 2012 (one ticket for each of the four concerts in the series) can be purchased from Monday 12th Decembert 2011. Individual concert tickets for Joseph Tawadros Trio can be purchased from 16th March 2012.


Sydney's Tawadros siblings Joseph and James, last seen in these parts with the Band Of Brothers, are among the world's finest players of oud (Arabic lute) and req (Egyptian tambourine). Steve Hunter is one of Australia's most brilliant jazz electric bass players. As a trio, they are gobsmackingly good. The Tawadros brothers have received seven consecutive ARIA nominations in the World Music and Jazz Categories: they have won 5 Limelight awards for Best World Music Album.
