Katerini Manolatos

Katerini Manolatos is a Mezzo-soprano born and raised in Brisbane. She studied at the Queensland Young Conservatorium for her teenage years and later on went to study at a tertiary level at the Queensland Conservatorium of music to complete her Bachelor of music in Voice in 2000. She later completed her Associate in Music Australia in 2001 and her Masters in Music Therapy in 2005.

Moving from Brisbane to Cairns three years ago has proved to be an exciting career move for Katerini. She has launched Hummingbird music therapy and singing which encompasses her skills and drive for nurturing young voices and her master's qualification in music therapy. Most recently she has joined forces with Gail Rogers (Speech and Language Pathologist specialising in the area of voice) to develop the Vocal Boot Camp series, which educates professional voice users in vocal technique and protection.

Katerini is passionate about enabling people to find new avenues in their lives through music therapy. She currently works with young people with acquired brain injury and with young people who have experienced traumatic events. She is excited about the future of music therapy in Cairns and Far North Queensland.
