Theatre maker/Theatrical Performance Art

Lauren has had an appreciation for theatre from an early age, always being actively involved in school musicals, drama and singing. In 2007, she completed a Bachelor of Arts at JCU majoring in English and Communication and then went on to complete her Graduate Diploma of Education. In 2009, Laurens university friends formed their own theatre ensemble and invited her to direct and feature in Pop Robot Theatres first production, 48 Shades of Brown. Now as one of the Artistic Directors of the company, Lauren has become passionate about contemporary theatre and has been focused on developing her skills in every area of theatre making. Lauren has enjoyed the challenge of designing and constructing the set for Falling Petals and managing the production team. Laurens main goal for the future is to be performing on stage and producing new work, but she also wants to continue to teach and develop artistic workshops for primary-school students.
