3 CHICKS AND A DUDE!
The SUNBIRDS are; Shari Williams ( Shari & the Mice), Belinda Butler ( Belinda & the Good Things), Rachel Bradley (La Goons) and Giles Smith (Don Burrows, Dragon, John Williamson etc). All are recorded singer songwriters in their own right. Shari won the Q-Music award for best song "Dusty Boots" 2008. Belinda has 2 successful albums and has also won national acclaim for her song "Microwave Oven". Rachel had many years as singer for Coral Sea Pirates and now is very busy with her children's shows and face painting with notable local comic Terry Doyle.
The SUNBIRDS are an acoustic/harmony group with a wide range of musical skills and influences. Belinda & Shari are accomplished guitarists while Rachel is has embraced the ukulele, to great effect, giving SUNBIRDS a very unique while accessible organic sound. This instrumentation plus four part harmony is rare and welcoming to all that hear it. Seductive and alluring .........
