Soulful acoustic sounds.
Sunbird are also set to take to the Vertigo stage in May showcasing the depth of talent that abounds in Far North Queensland. Shari Williams (Shari & the Mice), Belinda Butler (Belinda & the Good Things), Rachel Bradley (La Goons) and Giles Smith (Don Burrows, Dragon, John Williamson etc) have formed this unique group for the special May performances. All are recorded singer songwriters in their own right. Together they create something truly unique, a sound that is described as an acoustic/harmony group with a wide range of musical skills and influences. Belinda & Shari are accomplished guitarists while Rachel is has embraced the ukulele, to great effect, giving Sunbirds a very unique and organic sound. This instrumentation plus four part harmony is rare and welcoming to all that hear it. It is set to be something that will stand the time, and blow audiences away!
