Drifting in My Own Land is a body of work that testifies to the exceptional technical skills of Western Australian Fibre artist Nalda Searls. Traditional weaving, stitching and knotting techniques have been used in conjunction with materials ranging from plant fibres to hair and wax as well as found objects to create fibre textiles and sculptural forms. A video in which Searles speaks about the sources of her inspiration, and her working methods, will run in conjunction with the exhibition
