Nature Kids is a school holiday program that encourages children to play and learn in nature while discovering permaculture principles of earth care, people care and fair share. rnrnSet at the Cairns Hinterland Steiner School with camping, healthy meals and all activities are included.rnrnEach day has a theme, with arts and crafts, exploring their environment and earthly practices in tune with a daily rhthym of song and play with permaculture inspired learning. rnrnThis is back to nature program is available during the September school holidays - and open to any children who would like to attend. It is flexible for booking a minimum of 2 days or for the whole 2 week program (there is a show on the final Saturday night which the kids will be sharing their creativity through songs and movement).rnrnThis program is also designed to support the children and parents attending the Permaculture Design Course, as the children will be lovingly cared for while parents gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to design sustainable and productive landscapes. rnrnThe cost is $50 per day,( $650 for the 13 days) which includes all meals, crafts, resources and the teaching team to support each child.rnrnDates are:rnMonday 11th to Sunday 17th (course free day Monday 18th)rnand Tues 19th - Sunday 24th. rnrnFamilies arrive Sunday 10th to meet Shelly and explore the space. Parents will be learning in another classroom within the school and attending tours on 2-3 days of the course, whilst children stay.rnrnShelly will be working with the children to create a performance for the Saturday evening at the end of the course (if they want to express themselves on stage!).rnrnReduced fees are available for more than one child attending, Please contact us if you would like to know the price scale for affordability for larger families.rnrnVisit the website for more info!
