Punk /Pop Band
No-Hype is a high energy 3 piece pop/punk band based in Townsville. The band is made up of of Nick Torr (lead vocalist, guitarist) Chris Torr (drums, backing vocalist) and Sarah White (bassist).
2009 started the band off with recording their debut self titled E.P in Byron Bay, Studios 301 (The Living End, Powder Finger) The band employed ARIA Award Winning sound engineer Anthony Lycenko, who had previously recorded with U2, accomanied by internationally acclaimed producer Wernher Pramshufer for the No-Hype E.P.
After completing their E.P, No-Hype expanded their fan base, performing in venues throughout Brisbane and the Gold Coast, performing on wide bay festivals aswell as putting together 2 extensive east coast QLD tours as far as Cairns.
Come 2010, No-Hype started off the year with a highly demanded 2 week Far North Queensland tour, covering over 3000kms and performing shows from Hervey Bay to Cairns. 2 months after their tour the band secured support for Aussie rock icons Mental As Anything.
No-Hype will move on to record new material for 2010 and 2011, aswell as an extensive amount of performances throughout QLD.
