JULIE McLAUGHLIN


Born in England, the daughter of a Big band connoisseur whose passion for music played a huge part in her early musical education. Immersed in the music of all the greats, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Nina Simone to name a few, music was always destined to become a major part of her life.

A versatile, dynamic, professional entertainer and acclaimed vocalist she has the ability to transcend genres, from the Smoothest Jazz & Swing, Latin, Blues, Sensual 'smooth as silk' ballads through to modern covers and dance music.


JIM BLACK


Born and educated in New South Wales, Jim played piano from the age of 9 and was performing to live audiences by the age of 13.

A talented Pianist & keyboard player, vocalist and accomplished Band Leader whose musical career has taken him throughout Europe and extensively into the top venues in Sydney and Brisbane.
Jim has played with some of the best musicians in the country, managed several successful 'Big Bands' around Australia and the UK, and accompanied such legends as John Farnham and Shirley Bassey.

Julie and Jim formed 'Out of the Blue' in January 2004 and it has proven to be an amazingly successful partnership.

In addition to performing at Corporate functions and events, 'Out of the Blue' now spend part of their year as Guest Entertainers aboard luxury International Cruise liners.


'Out of the Blue' released their 1st CD, 'A Song for You' in early 2006. They have written and produced a Tribute Show to the songs of legendary performer Shirley Bassey, which they have Headlined aboard International Cruise ships. In conjunction, they released their 2nd Cd, 'A tribute to the Songs of Dame Shirley Bassey' which showcased 18 of Bassey's most popular songs. They have since recorded their 3rd 'chill' album, 'NightMoods'.

OUT OF THE BLUE

Perform songs in three languages and have a versatility that is second to none. With a repertoire of over 700 songs across many genres.

OUT OF THE BLUE - are available as a Duo- Trio - Quartet Quintet- Sextet, Tribute show and in addition, are able to provide Cabaret 'floorshow' style entertainment.

International Cruising, Corporate functions and Events, Weddings, Clubs, National & Local contracts.
