Pop-up steelbands join the crowd on the Esplanade, exploring the wide variety of musical styles that are possible on such a versatile instrument. Dance, sing, get in the groove - you may even have a chance to join a pop-up panyard and try Pan for yourself.

PANZfest MASSED STEELBAND presents 1.5 Climate Change
Steelpans are made out of 44-gallon drums. Steelbands are made from Steelpans. A massed steelband really is made from hundreds of steel drums creating music that you can only imagine. It is an opportunity you can’t miss, and the only way to experience the sound of a large steel band without leaving the country!
