Got something to say? The search is on for Queenslands best spoken word poet. Speak, scream, howl or sing your original poem at the Australian Poetry Slam Queensland heats an electric live event where the audience is the judge! Heat winners will compete in the State finals at the State Library of Queensland on 22 October.

So what is a slam? Slams are an electric spoken word showcase. This event is open to anyone with something to say. Maximum of 20 participants, sign-up is 30-minutes before show time, first in, best dressed. Youve got two minutes, a microphone and the live audience as your judge. Come and join the poetic love in with Tessa Leon, Coordinator of the Australian Poetry Slam 2010.
