Blessed with super-model looks, fabulous legs and a glamorous 1.8m stature, Rhonda Burchmore has spent her entire life dazzling audiences with her precision-perfect dance steps, commanding stage presence, superb comic timing, effervescent personality, and most of all, that stunning voice.
Rhonda's latest show, Legs 11, is a feel-good, musical biography of 25 years in the spotlight, set to a inspiring and fascinating backdrop of songs and stories that shaped her childhood, adolescence, early career and recent times.
Rhonda shares the journey; from the makeshift dance studio her dad built on the veranda of the family home, to her first 'disastrous' television appearance on the Mike Walsh Show at the age of nine, to the school eisteddfods where she honed her love of performing, to Her Majesty's Theatre in Sydney and London's West End.
Rhonda played alongside friend and great Australian actor, Garry McDonald, in the Australian production of the Broadway hit, Sugar Babies. In New York, this musical had starred Mickey Rooney and Anne Miller, two actors Rhonda refers to as "childhood faves".
Producers were so impressed with Rhonda's performance that they invited her to repeat her role opposite Mickey Rooney and Anne Miller at London's West End Theatre. It was from here that Rhonda's career began to skyrocket!
Over the past 25 years, Rhonda's stage credits have grown to cover an amazingly diverse array of the world's best musicals and shows.
