Folk/Acoustic Solo
Rose Eden is a gifted singer/songwriter and musician with over 50 originals and counting. Rose's songs are a declaration of her passion for traditional English and Irish folk music, contemporary social justice and environmental issues, faith and philosopy - folk songs, reminiscent of bygone era - powerful and beautiful.
Rose has been songwriting, singing and performing as a soloist and in folk duos for over 12 years. She performed at Woodford Folk Festival in 2002/2003 as an emerging artist, various events in and around Brisbane and since moving to FNQ has performed in folk duo (Paul and Rose Longley) at the Townsville Multicultural Festival, Palm Creek Folk Festival, Wallaby Creek Folk Festival, Yungaburra Folk Festival and local events in and around Innisfail and Mission Beach.
Rose has now joined forces with Irish singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Crow and percussionist/multi-instrumentalist Darren Blackman from Reggae/roots band Patch Up to form Cairns based band Crooked.
