ST PATRICK'S CELEBRATIONS with “Beamish” & the City of Cairns Irish Dancers
Cairns premier Irish Band , Beamish play a mixture of traditional and contemporary Irish music including popular Irish ballads, drinking songs and contemporary songs from artists such as Christy Moore, Pogues, Saw Doctors & Waterboys and others.
Limerick born Mick O’Mara on guitar, mandolin & bodhran provides strong vocals with passion and is supported by the other members of the band featuring:-
Paddy Anderson, Accordion
Ken Newman, Guitar, Mandolin & Mandola
Lachlan Smith, Drums & Percussion
The band’s music has a strong following from a broad spectrum of Irish music lovers including locals and overseas visitors.
The band enjoys interacting with its audience and perform with passion and energy in delivering powerful Irish ballads, rollicking pub songs and lively sets of traditional tunes.
