Suspekt
Techno/Progressive/House DJ
Suspekt is Jesse Kuch, label manager and DJ for Cairns-based progressive, techno and minimal label Open Records.
Jesse is born and raised in Tropical North Queensland, and it was the thriving outdoor party scene in his hometown of Cairns where Jesse first encountered electronic music.
Originally inspired by deep afternoon progressive trance and house, the Suspekt sound now sits somewhere in the grey area between techno, progressive house, tribal and tech-house always with smooth mixing, hypnotic rhythms and forward-thinking, deep-bass grooves.
Together with his pal Woodsman, he has compiled two successful compilations Slow-Release and Festivus and is currently working on a third to be released in the last half of 2009, along with a swag of other digital releases by top artists as well.
Add to this, a set on Triple Js mixup after Joris Voorn and a long list of supports that includes some of the hottest names in global electronic music including Dousk, D-Nox, Kasey Taylor, Lutzenkirchen, Fiord, Monolake, Maetrik, Solead and many more, Jesse has definitely earned his place in the Australian progressive and techno scene.
