The Medics are a young energetic Indie band with insightful songs wide in scope, written and played to the obvious strengths of the four individual band members. Formed in Cairns in early 2007 and featuring on Triple Js Unearthed, the Medics are renowned for their epic, emotive songwriting style, delivered with intense, live performances.

The Medics, Jhindu Lawrie, Charles Thomas, Andrew Thomson and Kahl Wallace, are tight knit friends and family combining electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, glockenspiel, keyboards, percussion and 3-part vocal harmonies to present a large range of musical sounds, from quiet ambience to epic build ups, breakdowns, light, shade, delicate and intense.

The Medics debuted their live show nationally last year, as guests on the GROUNDSWELL tour, they return to Cairns to perform at Tanks.
