The Doctor is a Cairns local who has just moved back to FNQ after mixing it up all over the world for the last 15 years.
He started his DJ career back in the late 90's playing clubs in the infamous "Playa de las Americas" in Tenerife, Spain. He then moved across the pond to Miami where he took to the Hard House scene that swept the US over the Millennium.
An urge to get back to his music roots found him back in Spain in 2001 where he opened "BED", a bar famous for it's attention to funky beats and outrageous parties. This was based on the Balearic island of Mallorca. During this time The Doctor split his time between here and the clubs of Ibiza. Playing along side Dj's such as Mr C, Nathan Coles, Terry Francis, Pee Wee Ferris, Jeremy Healy, Deep Dish, Scratch Perverts, Citizen K, Haydn Jay, Warren Holt, Danny Howells, Silicon Soul, Sammy J, LTJ Bukem and Brandon Block to name a few.
Then in the winter of 2003 he set sail for Antigua in the Caribbean, where he mixed it up in Abracadabra's and other unnamed beach parties for the season.
Again being drawn back to Spain The Doctor opted for the bustling clubs of Barcelona where he pleased crowds with his double act DJ set with UK DJ, Andy Hardy. This was when the Deepdown&funkindirty label was born. The duo began a 12 month tour of Asia including all the biggest clubs and parties that Thailand and Malaysia had to offer.

The Doctor is now based back home in Cairns and is performing in various local and interstate venues but most frequently in the Number 1 Sunday Session venue, Bellavista, Playing alongside a selection of local talent and Internationally acclaimed artists.
Its always a surprise to see what style he is going to break out, with the Doctor spinning sets from all genres, including Funk, House, Tech House, Electro, Breaks and even Disco!
