Damion Jones Montgomery half Spanish and half Italian grew up in a little country town called Mareeba picking all sorts of fruit and vegies in his families farms. He didn't start playing Music un till he was about twelve years old, when his family needed a band for all their dinners and parties they had. (Spanish and Italian Culture, always having parties!) So he was asked to play the drums, he watched all the great drummers and percussionist on youtube and when his parents came down to Cairns for a special occasion he would peak through the windows of Johno's Blues Bar and watch all the world class acts and taught himself how to play ! The boys met each other in high school when Damion moved to Cairns they ended up being in the same music class, and thats when the brotherhood started !

Kid Ryo grew up playing AFL untill he started living with his father Ric Montgomery at the age of 13. Ric started and managed Johno's Blues Bar, the best Blues Bar in QLD (I'm Sure alot of people would agree) The Club use to have American Blues Bands every second week ! Kid Ryo had to stay at the club till 2 or 3AM sometimes because Ric was the House Guitarists, but all those late nights were worth while, seeing guitar legends like, Phil Emmanuel, Eugene 'Hideaway Bridges, Bondi Cigars, Lil Charlie and the Night Cats, and massive amounts of great Musicians!
Kid Ryo Montgomery has done so much in such a short career in the music industry. In his five years of playing he has played with Phil Emmanuel, Johnny Nicole, Adam Hynes Johno's Blues Band, The Montgomery Brothers, Brittni Paiva, and at Many Festivals and Radio Stations around the Country. Now Currently endorsed by Recording King Guitars, and G&L Guitars.

How they got the name ? Ryo has the last name, but there is a Cairns Legend who has always kept the Live Music Live, a Aussie Guitar Icon, and is an inspiration to both of the boys. His name is Ric Montgomery, Ryo's father. Damion and Ryo both decided they want to carry the Montgomery name everywhere they play !

The Montgomery Brothers never has a disappointed audience, they are always left with a bad case of Jaw Drop with their virtuosity on the fretboard and Cajon, and with their interesting originals. The Montgomery Brothers play in the style of Tommy & Phil Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Django Reinhardt, George Benson, Brad Paisley, Joe Robinson, Ric Montgomery, and many other Jazz/Blues/Country greats ! Currently working on their first ever instrumental EP. Be sure to check out one of their exciting shows, they have such great character, Smile, and are so deadly on their instruments !
