City Lights

The City Lights program engages local and national artists to create large scale projections to transform our surroundings through projection mapping and soundscapes.
Since 2015 the Cairns City Library has been transformed with projection artworks that speak to the culture, history and tropical lifestyle of North Queensland.
This year’s collaborative artwork sees projection specialists AGB Events team up with local artist Hayley Gillespie to transform her wondrous paintings into an animated story onto the facade of Cairns City Library.
The City Library will be ON every night of the Cairns Festival from 7pm-11pm.
