Award-winning Australian playwright Andrew Bovell’s classic first comedy follows five desperate singles on a night out in the 80’s.

Paula, Dympie and Monika are as ‘fired up’ as Pat Benatar for a rip-roaring night at the local bistro. The only thing standing in their way? Over-confident ladies’ man Stephen and his hapless friend Gordon, who occupy the table next door.

As the evening unravels, these five eccentric lonely hearts collide in a hilarious - and moving - clash of cheap white wine, oysters and dubious dance moves, in their quest for love.
