It’s time to travel back in time…Back to the 80s.
The Casino is all back to the 80s following the massive successes of the previous events staged at BAR36 & Main Foyer, “We were abit worried about doing too many 80s shows but March was huge! Probably the biggest we have done” Bruce Stewart Entertainment Manager expressed about the overwhelming success of the BACK TO THE 80S promotion and live shows by local act BIG NOISE! “So much positive feedback and response to these fun nights that we just have to keep rolling them out. We just have ta!!!”
Working closely with the band, the Casino production team jointly produced a sight, sound and visual experience for anyone who came along. An authentic 80S night, over 3 hours of pure 80S music live & recorded.
The ‘Bigger Badder’ Big Noise repackaged themselves for the shows, to a 4 piece with Adrian Cartwright taking to the front of the stage as true 80S style frontman. Rolling out hit after hit this band with members Jock Williamson, Dale Monaghan and Brad Townsend cover all those 80s genres and unique 80s sounds…from Brit New Wave to American anthem to NZ pop and Aussie rock. ‘We have added new songs for 2024 to keep the show fresh.’ Comments Jock.
Watch out for special guest International Man of Keyboard adding the iconic sonic synth sound of the 80s throughout the night.
This timeless music fused with a lighting show and visuals to match, transforms our BAR36 and foyer into an immersive 80s club taking the audience on a musical journey back…Back to the 80S. “We were blown away how many people dressed up in 80s gear!” “A great surprise” says Jock. ‘We are giving out those 80s shades again so everyone gets into the spirit of the Back to the 80S event. “
Bruce comments ‘Ask about hiring your own 80s event and function opposite BAR36 for the night for a special occasion. Rachel held her 50th organised some food and drink for the birthday celebration via our Sales team and soaked up the 80s entertainment and theming all supplied by us.
