Cairns singer-songwriter Bobby Maguire has shared the stage with esteemed acts including The Cat Empire, Hoodoo Gurus and Short Stack. His dynamic brand of indie rock echoes the sounds of fellow Australian artists Jebediah, Thirsty Merc and Bernard Fanning, showcasing a unique fusion of various influences and styles.

Maguire's musical journey began as a teenager after surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital shifted his focus from motorbikes to guitars. This change led to the formation of a band with his siblings, propelling them into the Far North Queensland music scene as they impressed audiences at various venues and festivals. Subsequently, Maguire released two EPs, along with an independently produced music video that caught the attention of Channel Ten.

Building on this early success, Maguire then completed a Bachelor's Degree of Music in Melbourne while fronting multiple bands. Upon returning to Queensland, he debuted his single 'Breathe' prior to composing and performing music for a unique theatre production set on a moving steam train.

After a brief stint enchanting audiences in England and France, Maguire returned home to release his 2019 self-titled album before the onset of the global pandemic grounded the music industry. Despite these challenges, Maguire has persevered, releasing subsequent singles 'Exoskeleton' (2020), 'Vigilante' (2021), 'Taken My Place'(2022), and 'Sold Our Future' (2022). He then became the presenter of the online show Music View TV before appearing onstage with his band at Savannah in the Round and the Airlie Beach Festival of Music.

Bobby Maguire is currently performing as a solo artist, combining impressive guitar looping with a charismatic stage presence as he delves into the diverse realm of the indie rock genre, offering audiences a truly engaging and memorable experience.
