Australia’s very first Indigenous member of the United Nations and the grand-daughter of the King of Cairns; Bukal is the extraordinary journey of one woman’s life that follows Henrietta Fourmile’s incredible strength and determination from the very quaint and simple shores of Aboriginal mission Yarrabah in North Queensland, all the way to the world stage of Geneva, Canada and the U.S. where she impacted global Indigenous laws and legislations in the areas of Copyright, Ownership, Bio-diversity and Intellectual Property.

A world exclusive, JUTE Theatre Company is honoured and privileged to produce and support the presentation of this inspiring story to audiences in partnership with CIAF (Cairns Indigenous Arts Festival) in 2018.

Please note the official opening night, CIAF World Premiere on Tuesday July 10.

The matinee performances will feature a Q&A- a post-show 20-minute discussion held with cast and crew on stage for the audience to engage in and interrogate the theatre experience and story.

Generally there is no right to a refund or exchange except as required by law, or as provided in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. Please refer to Ticketlink Terms and Conditions on this website.
