Creative Cairns is a branch of Cairns Regional Council incorporating Tanks Arts Centre , Cairns Civic Theatre, Creative Partnerships and Cairns Festival.

Dedicated to enriching the lives of residents and visitors, this vibrant branch delivers an eclectic range of cultural, botanical, historical and interpretive programming, delivered in unique venues, spaces and ways.

The Creative Cairns team is committed to connecting with people, fostering growth and facilitating the expansion of skills and knowledge, embracing best practise in sustainability, with care, empathy and professionalism.

This Cairns Regional Council branch develops synergies with multicultural groups, peak government bodies, the traditional arts community, business, tourism and the community to foster creativity.

Serving the regional community, Creative Cairns has personnel based in strategic locations from Gordonvale to Mossman. The branch hub is in the new Cairns Botanic Gardens Precinct Visitor Centre, nestled at the foot of Mount Whitfield, providing a portal between Tanks Arts Centre and the Cairns Botanic Gardens.

Cairns Regional Council also showcases venues in the City such as Cairns Esplanade and City Place as part of the Inner City Facilities unit.
