The Centre for Australasian Theatre (CfAT) is a contemporary intercultural and interdisciplinary theatre company based in Cairns, FNQ creating new contemporary performance works that speak to the heart of universal experience. It is committed to art-form innovation through research, skills development and cultural exchange.
CfAT’s work is vivid storytelling, combining physical performance, vocal tapestries and salient imagery to create new non-text based theatre that is grounded in the cultural and environmental ecologies of Far North Queensland.

Continually researching intercultural theatre as an area of interaction where new forms emerge to reflect the cultural complexity of our changing world, CfAT is committed to the development of a professional intercultural performing ensemble and multicultural community access to contemporary performance.
