Event Content Policy

At Entertainment Cairns, our goal is to support and promote a vibrant, inclusive entertainment scene across the Cairns region. We welcome a wide variety of community-focused events, including live music, trivia nights, karaoke, theatre, and more.

To maintain the integrity and spirit of the platform, we kindly ask that all submitted events adhere to the following content guidelines:

What We Do Accept:

  • Live performances (bands, solo artists, DJs, etc.)

  • Trivia nights, karaoke, and open mic nights

  • Arts, cultural, and community events

  • Local festivals, markets, and creative gatherings

  • Social games such as bingo or similar low-stakes, community-based activities

What We Do Not Accept:

  • Events that focus primarily on gambling (e.g. Poker Nights, Casino Nights, Betting Events)

  • Events that feature or promote adult entertainment, such as strip clubs/shows

  • Content that is offensive, discriminatory, or violates community standards

  • Duplicate events or spam submissions

We understand that some events walk the line, and we’re happy to chat if you’re unsure. Our aim is to keep the platform enjoyable, inclusive, and relevant to our local audience.
