I Live on a Boat - Dane Brejnak

I Live on a Boat is an exhibition of paintings about the vibrant cultural life of our region, as seen by artist Dane Brejnak, who really does live on a boat anchored in Cairns Harbour. He and his family travel around the Cairns region, visiting the local islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Dane and his family also like to attend many of the attractions that the region has to offer and the variety of cultural festivals, such as Cairns Festival, Cairns Christmas Tree Light-up and Black Mountain Unplugged based in the Cooktown region.

A highlight and annual adventure for Dane and his family, is attending the Wallaby Creek Festival where he volunteers and performs.

Dane enjoys camping, music and dancing, cooking, spending time with his family and creating artworks that show all that he sees in this wonderful region where he lives.
