After completing classical studies at The Conservatorium of Music in Sydney, Australia, Julie joined an all-girl show band and travelled overseas, firstly, entertaining the troops in Vietnam, then Tahiti, Noumea, The Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and the U.S.A. Then playing solo across the country and later based in New York City she was resident pianist at The Sheraton Center. Opportunities came along and Julie travelled to Europe touring throughout Sweden, Austria and Switzerland performing at legendary hotels such as the Beau Rivage Palace in Geneva and Lausanne, Bellevue Palace in Bern and L'Hermitage in Monte Carlo. Returning to New York and later entertaining on the Holland America Cruises in the Caribbean. After coming home to Australia Julie performed at The Menzies Hotel and the Sheraton Wentworth in Sydney and was later offered a long term contract at the Hilton Cairns. Also performing at many venues in the Far North including The Sebel, Sheraton Mirage, Port Douglas and forming the five piece band "Cool Change" Julie has performed with some of the great jazz musicians of our time
