Mikey Mike is a left-handed singer/songwriter with crippling credit card debt and a penchant for verbosity (using too many big words). Reared on the salty beaches of South Adelaide, forged in the crucible of the surf/skate/punk/grunge scene of the 90's and now residing in Cairns North Queensland, he has followed a musical journey to define his own unique sound; mellowed and matured but still a little bit bitey. His song writing draws from life’s trials, tribulations and celebrations. Whilst both heartfelt and sincere his lyrics are laced with dark humour and sprinkled with just a hint of cynicism to taste. His live shows include an eclectic selection of covers hand picked and lovingly prepared with his usual blend of gut wrenching emotion and tongue in cheek insincerity. Best enjoyed served at sunset with friends accompanied by a strong hopped ale or a glass of your favourite red.
