Naoki Inamoto is a jazz pianist, key-harmonica player, composer, piano tutor from Japan. At the age of 19, I started to study jazz under a jazz pianist, Akimitsu Iwase.
I was impressed by his method of teaching jazz theory, that was simple, systematic, and practical.
Also I got inspired by Red Garland, Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett. I spent my first 5 years with copying their phrasing, chord works.
At the same time, I was hired as a jam session pianist at Bee Hive (Osaka). It was good opportunity to learn jazz standards.
I had performed at a lot of music venues in Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Tokyo. I worked as a piano tutor in several music schools as well.
In 2015, I migrated to Cairns. Now I am performing at Pops&Co, Cape York Hotel, Pullman Cairns International, etc.
