Port Douglas Carnivale

Opening on Monday, May 21 through to Sunday, May 27, 2018.

Just a 5 to 10 minute walk from the main street ….

TROPICAL DESTINATIONS is an exciting photographic exhibition of local and regional scenesheld annually by the Douglas Photographic Society – a not for profit local community group.

The Club was created to fill a need in our community for some fun and adventurous activities for local amateur photographers.

Since it’s start the DPS has catered to all abilities, ages and interests, and members are involved in a variety of the events and activities.

The fun outings, mystery excursions, points challenges, critique sessions, exhibitions and workshops all help our members develop more skills, knowledge and confidence, while having some serious fun with great friends and professional tutors and mentors.

This exhibition is about the work of these amazing local people whose passion for the photo has become a celebrated annual event.

The high quality of local and regional images, and the professional presentation make this well worth the visit. Find fabulous souvenirs and memories in images printed on canvas or framed, with most for sale or order.

Come and visit the exhibition, buy our fast selling and very popular 2019 calendar, a framed or canvas print or just come and browse for ideas for your next Douglas adventure. Discuss membership and activities with our members, and feel free to ask for advice. All welcome to this free event.
