From a young age, Shannon Vitali dreamt of being on the stage. At fourteen, she began dancing at the Graham Academy of Dance in Far North Queensland, and has continued her dance studies while also pursuing her Bachelors of Circus Arts at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Melbourne. Her passion for circus developed in her first year of NICA, where she specialised in dance contortion, Adagio (partner balancing), Risley (human foot juggling), and aerial acrobatics. With her natural flexibility and understanding of movement, she easily excelled in these areas. Shannon has performed in a few big NICA productions including CODA in 2011, Lucy and the Lost Boy and 3rd Year Graduate Showcase in 2012. In 2012, she also received a seasonal contract and performed with Circus Olympia. She has performed professionally in multiple nightclubs, Crown Casino’s, weddings, corporate functions, birthday parties, clothing and shoe brands, circus shows and many more. Shannon has just finished her contract on the P& O Pacific Jewel Cruise Ship, as a guest artist for 7months. She seeks to share her passion for circus and dance all around the world by working with contemporary circus companies and cruise lines, and then eventually choreographing and directing a combination of circus and dance shows. |
