North Queensland performers, Shirley Lynn and Jim McCabe have been playing together as "Silktones" in Cairns and beyond since 2011. A versatile covers and originals duo, Shirl and Jim have an extensive repertoire of songs drawn across five (5) decades and beyond through to our contemporary day with much variety in styles including light rock, pop, blues, country and folk.
Shirl and Jim's music is a vocal and instrumental fusion of riffs, rhythms, tones and harmonies that are the quality threads of “Silktones”.
"Liberty" the new EP, produced and recorded at Tonic Sound, Yorkeys Knob features six (6) catchy tunes with elements of slide, swing blues, folk and easy listening country grooves. Available on iTunes, CD Baby and the website www.shirleylynnmusic.com/silktones
