We are getting together to celebrate a Cairns institution…the iconic Playpen Nightclub and live music venue.
Remember all those great bands and concerts that filed through over the 80's & 90's. From LRB 1982 to INXS 1984, The Angels 1989 to Skyhooks 1990 Midnight Oil 1994 and so many more!!!
The Australian music scene was rich and rockin the walls of the Playpen.
Remember the venues? The Court Jester, The Dark Horse, Subway Rock, Samuels etc. The complex was huge!
Over 2 nights with 2 live bands, the resident bands back in the day, Mr President & Big Noise will pay homage to the history and music of the 80s & 90s from 9pm nightly.
DJB will start the reminiscing from 8pm with all those iconic hits.
Remember the Sunday Beach Club parties? All done by midnight! Classic.
Dressing up in the era is a must! Classic beverages on offer.
