Break away from traditional landscape art and dive straight into the raw, sculptural power of the forest. ?✨

In this dynamic workshop, you’ll learn to zoom in on the gnarled trunks, weathered bark, and muscular forms of ancient trees. Using the rich, expressive qualities of charcoal, you will see nature through a contemporary lens—stripping away foliage and background distractions to carve out high-impact studies using deep shadow and piercing light.

Whether you want to push past photorealism into abstract form or build confidence in working on a larger scale, this class gives you the technique and freedom to create bold, commanding art.

What We’ll Cover:
? Form & Contrast: Carve out dramatic, 3D forms with high-contrast value scales.
?️ Abstract Vision: Simplify complex bark patterns into striking geometric and fluid shapes.
✏️ Mastering Charcoal: Explore additive and subtractive drawing methods using vine, compressed charcoal, and erasers.
?️ Scale & Impact: Scale close-up nature studies into contemporary masterworks.

Who it’s for: Open to all skill levels—from adventurous beginners to experienced artists seeking a fresh perspective.
