Mark your calendars for the last Sunday in June 2024, because something exciting is coming your way! It’s the Volunteer Expo, fondly known as VEXPO, a wonderful community event taking place from 9 am to 2 pm at the iconic Tanks Arts Centre in Cairns.

More than just an event, VEXPO it’s a vibrant celebration of our community’s spirit. A space where people of all abilities and ages come together to explore a diverse range of interests and forge new connections. Whether you’re passionate about social causes, arts and culture, the environment, or furry friends, VEXPO has something for everyone.

VEXPO is for Volunteers and Not for Profit Organisations. Over 30 remarkable organisations will grace Tank 3 on Collins Avenue, showcasing their impactful work. From social initiatives to cultural endeavours, environmental conservation, and animal welfare, these groups are the backbone of our community.

What to Expect on the Day:

Discover and connect with volunteer-based community organisations.
Find exciting opportunities to become a volunteer or member.
Learn about the incredible projects shaping our community.
Enjoy captivating live performances, dance classes, and cultural showcases.
Treat the little ones to a day of face painting, arts, crafts, and more at the Children’s Corner.
Plus, you can sign up to volunteer with an organisation right there at VEXPO! This is your chance to make a difference in a cause that speaks to you.

VEXPO shares the stage with the beloved monthly Tanks market, offering an even wider array of experiences for all attendees.

And the best part? It’s all for free! VEXPO is a gift to our community, an event designed to bring us all together in celebration.
